I had a client that was very badly duped by one of these companies. The company sold them the package that was very misleading promising first page listing.
I think that they did get on the first page but only for keywords were long tailed regional keywords that actually didnt deliver hardly any traffic. It was a waste of money.

Fao Danny "You don’t have a “contact” at Google more than anyone else does. Everyone who does adwords has a contact at Google Ireland. Your article implies that you have preferential access to Google information"

The article doesnt imply this at all it simply states we have contacted our person at google ?

Hiya Danny I was certainly not in any way trying to be misleading quite the opposite I was laying down a few facts.

The points are raised are right to a point but are not 100% true. Ok you could risk saying to a company you can get a first page listing 100% as it will have low competition.

But my whole point is this is not ethical and is misleading companies as the product itself doesnt allow you to get a 100% fixed position under any keyword.

Thats a fact we dont like to pull the wool over peoples eyes even though sometimes people do like the easy sounding fixed position.

The simple fact remains these companies will not used 100% of your adwords credit they have to make a profit.

Adwords is really good in driving traffic to your website. however, they are very strict right now and they would not easily approve websites that they thought have low quality content. ~-

Surfed by your article. I work for a UK SEO and we point out these scammers regularly. I'd like to point out that your article is misleading on certyain points and not very well researched.

1. You can get fixed advert prices in the sense that you can cap /fix your max cost per click.

2. From 1 - you can get a page 1 advert - admittedly low competition but still a page 1 advert.

3. You don't have a "contact" at Google more than anyone else does. Everyone who does adwords has a contact at Google Ireland. Your article implies that you have preferential access to Google information - which you dont. This is EXACTLY what the Adwords scammers say when selling these schemes.
