Published by on December 3, 2012

Today we speak to Dennis Taylor growing up in Newchurch, Rossendale he now lives in Cowpe and on top of growing his social media business Taylor made social media he also has another full time job as a dad of 3 children aged 4, 10 and 11.

1. How long have you been in business and what exactly do you do ?

1 year in January we setup and manage social media campaigns for companies across the UK. Whether these are local independents or international e-commerce websites, can work with most organisations and budgets.

2. Have you always run your own business and would you class yourself as an entrepreneur ?

No, only started in early 2012. However, I’ve been involved with many different businesses in the past during my ‘employed’ years. Ranging from start-up tourism companies, shoe retailers and kitchen manufacturers. This background has helped TaylorMade Social Media relate to our clients needs and understand that one size does not fit all where social media marketing is concerned.

3. How do you see social media playing a part in your business in the future ?

It has too, but social media isn’t slowing down and as more businesses look to this as a form of marketing themselves hopefully my business will grow too. With Facebook ever changing their platform, the increase in mobile, tablet and other internet devices more and more people with become active on these networks and business will follow.

4. How do you see social media playing a positive part in the local community ?

Social media can help raise the awareness of issues on a local level massively. You only need to see the effects of people sharing posts when a child has gone missing, increase visibility for a charitable campaign or even to help name and shame a criminal like the guy that assaulted the goalkeeper Chris Kirkland read more
